Medicine Woman and Guardian of Ancestrality
Marisa de Lille Buenfil was born in Mexico City on April 15, 1966. She began her artistic career at a very young age. The first time she sang was when she was only 9 years old. By the age of 13, De Lille made her solo debut at the Palacio de Bellas Artes, performing the musical piece "Lullaby" by Mozart.
Marisa impressed the audience, among whom was the presenter and journalist Jorge Saldaña, who invited her to participate in his television program Sábados con Saldaña, where he presented her as a "youth revelation." In the following years, Marisa gave opera concerts under the direction of her teacher, Ángela Cuevas.
