Medicine Woman and Bearer of Ancestral Wisdom
With deep honor, we present Grandmother María Soledad Sánchez C., whose traditional name is Yaocihua Xóchitl Ehecamit. A bearer of ancestral wisdom, she is a 61-year-old Medicine Woman, a temazcal guide with 15 years of experience, and a healer of the Otomí tradition. Her 8-year journey traveling through various southern nations, sharing her knowledge through courses and the planting of temazcales, has made her a beacon of light and healing for the communities that have received her guidance. Originally from the community of Magu in the State of Mexico, Grandmother María Soledad is a living example of the connection between human beings and Mother Earth, and her tireless work invites us to reconnect with our roots and walk together towards a future of harmony and balance.
