Healer and Guardian of the Sacred Fire
Grandmother Teresa Contreras, a healer of traditional Mexican medicine, guardian of the sacred fire, and sower of the ancient word, has dedicated her life to the service of humanity.
Originally from Michoacán, she learned from a young age the language of the earth and the power of medicinal plants from her father, a recognized healer. For over 50 years, she has shared her wisdom on herbalism, the use of sacred fire, healing massages, and osteopathy, and has guided many people through the temazcal.
A traditional Aztec dancer for 40 years, Grandmother Teresa has taken her knowledge of rituals and ceremonies to Mexico and other countries. As a voluntary guardian of the ancient word, she is dedicated to preserving and sharing the legacy of her ancestors, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding this wisdom for future generations.
